The brief for Fairview came from a real memory: co-owner and creative director Lina Strati of Aesthetic Developments drew the design directly from “our unforgettable honeymoon in the Mediterranean,” aiming to create, in her words, “a home away from home escape.” The home needed a neutral, warm palette that could carry that feeling from the entry through to the pool, indoors and out.

Three Artisan Exterior materials carried that brief through the build: Valo Travertine Pavers for their warm, honey-toned variation; Vari Quartz Mesh Cobblestones for the driveway; and Chateau Organic Stone Wall Cladding as a textured, tactile feature element. Strati chose them for a specific reason - “a neutral colour palette that flows seamlessly between the interior and exterior” - carrying the travertine through into the bathrooms so the same material language ran through the whole home, not just the outdoor areas.

That indoor-outdoor continuity is the detail worth naming: running one paving material from an internal bathroom floor out to the exterior removes the visual break most homes have at the threshold, so the transition barely registers. On the driveway, the Vari Quartz Mesh Cobblestones brought the same dense, load-bearing durability discussed in our cobblestone style guide, applied at a full driveway scale.

Fairview went on to win an MBA award - recognition Strati describes as meaningful validation within her portfolio - but the detail that matters just as much is the working relationship behind it. Describing her first visit to our showroom, Strati said: “From the moment I stepped into their showroom... I was warmly welcomed by Daniel and the team.” That's the exact standard we hold ourselves to at every Artisan Exterior studio: not just supplying the stone, but being part of getting the sampling, selection and order fulfilment right.
